This caught my eye yesterday; capturing my attention and imagination.

I was on a hot, stuffy train, after a long day at work, headed to meet a friend for dinner. It was an ‘only cos it’s you’ scenario, as this 9-5 business and going out on a work night is not the one for me!

As I stood there, trying to put some distance between myself and the day and ground myself in the midst of the chaos of the commute, catching that glimpse of,

Possible starts today.

brought a poets mmm to my lips. It also had me trying to inconspicuously grab the above photo (it took a few tries).

What is ‘possible’?

A definition:

1a: being within the limits of ability, capacity, or realization
e.g. a possible but difficult task

There were a couple of definitions cited for the word ‘possible’, but when I read this one, the poets’ mmm returned.

When faced with a difficult task, challenges, hardships etc., I don’t believe in glossing things over or toxic positivity. We need to give ourselves and others permission to say, this sucks, life is hard, we are struggling, we need help…

Running parallel to this or maybe more apt, intertwined with this is, that while difficult, many things remain possible.

Each day holds the potential for something new or different, some progress to be made, a solution to be found, that thing you’ve been waiting for to finally come through.

Some of this will depend on the resources, connections or support you have access to. Timings and things beyond your control will also play a part. Some of it might be about mindset and perspective—many things do begin with a thought.

Can you imagine what your day or life even, might be like if you adopted this perspective?

Possible starts today

Maybe we should give it a go and see what happens.
