Receiving and reading this message made my heart sing. You do what you do and trust something will land, resonate, have impact etc. but you can’t always know if it has. Although people often assume that you do.
Then every now and then you receive an email or DM like this. Or someone comes up to you after a performance, workshop, presentation… and shares how a particular poem, line, example, struck a chord or was timely.
Say it with a Haiku
The ‘workbook’ Ronny is referring to is my ‘Say it with a Haiku Journal:31 days of everyday creativity’
I created the journal because I wanted to encourage others to try their hand at haiku or any form of poetry/poetic musings. Receiving Ronny’s message was an encouragement that this hope had become a reality.
If you’ve never tried your hand at haiku, I encourage you to give it a try.

Published in March 2024, this was the first fruit of a commitment (from Sept. 2023-mid 2024) to write a haiku a day. Born of a desire to ensure that each day included a daily act of creativity. Also a desire to explore the poetic form of haiku.
